Product Description

The 1993 Superior Yunnan Pu-erh Tea Black Box is a rare cooked (ripe) Pu-erh crafted by the renowned Ji Xing (吉幸) state-owned tea factory in Yunnan, China. Produced in the early 1990s, this vintage Pu-erh reflects the golden era of factory-crafted teas. During this time, tea masters followed meticulous fermentation standards and, therefore, created Pu-erh teas with exceptional depth, complexity, and longevity.

Originally, the factory exported this tea to Japan, Europe, and North America. To ensure freshness during long shipping journeys, the producers lined the packaging with protective materials. As a result, the flavor of the 1993 Superior Yunnan Pu-erh Tea has remained remarkably intact for decades. Treasure Green imported this vintage tea in 1993 and later released it to the market in 2016. Since then, it has stood out as one of the most iconic Pu-erh collections of the era.

The 1993 harvest is particularly prized for its herbal richness, deep earthiness, and elegant aroma. Even today, careful storage allows the tea to keep evolving; consequently, each session reveals new layers of character and elegance.
